Folsom Railroad Museum aims to educate the general public by preserving and conserving railroad history in the cities of Folsom, El Dorado County, Sacramento County, and its surrounding areas. The site also has a reconstruction of a 'A' frame or 'gallows' type turntable used to turn locomotives, which was originally erected in 1867.
